Art Corner - Paper Balancing Toys:
These weighted, participant decorated, 3-D half circle sculptures rock back and forth on a table top. With a more energized flick of a finger, they summersault in the air and land on their feet, every time. Inspired by the recovery journey itself, these simple toys are easy for participants to decorate using markers or pencil crayons, to assemble according to simple directions using glue/tape, string and a weight. Intended for children, children of all ages will find success in this fast and easy to engage project.
Martial Arts Demo Team
12 young martial arts athletes of the Winnipeg Sikaran Arnis Academy. In May of this year, the Winnipeg Sikaran Arnis Academy was the ONLY martial arts school in Manitoba that sending competitors to the Canadian National Martial Arts Team Try-Outs in Ottawa and became accredited as the Official WKC Team Manitoba! This was the first tournament that these young martial arts athletes competed in in the last 2 almost 3 years because of the lockdowns and restrictions. All 12 came home as National Champs and are now Official Members of Team Canada 2022! They will be representing our country at the World Karate Championships on October 8 to 13, 2022 in Killarney, Ireland.
They are humbly seeking each and every one’s support. Help them to get to Ireland, join them in their journey in fulfilling their dreams and responsibility to represent and fight and carry the Canadian flag in Ireland!
